BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGY
This programme provides specialized training for persons interested in becoming professional counsellors .In recognition to the various socio-emotional difficulties facing people, the programme trains students in a wide variety of the conceptual as well as practical elements of Counselling Psychology .The programme takes cognizance of the increasing demand for professional Counsellors especially with undergraduate or postgraduate degrees.

Objectives/Admission
Objectives of the Programme
- To produce quality professional counsellors for the academia, research and practical action in government, international bodies and Non-Goevermental organizations.
- To create hands on professionals fully equipped with both theoretical and practical expertise capable of skilfully handling current and cutting-edge developmental and human wellbeing issues
- To create a professional that is able to pursue graduate studies and research in the area of Counselling Psychology.
Admission Requirements
- To be admitted in the degree programme the applicant must fulfill the common academic requirements as prescribed by Moi University.In addition, applicants must meet the cut off points for the year as set by the Joint Admissions Board
- Applicants in possession of a Moi University Senate recognized diploma in a relevant area such as Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Nursing and Social work may be admitted to the programme.
Programme Duration
The duration of the program shall normally be four (4) academic years. Each academic year shall have two semesters and each semester shall take Sixteen weeks.
