Objectives/Admission
The programme aims at:
- imparting proficiency in photographic communication
- developing skills in film production and directing techniques
- training in post-production skills in film and TV
- imparting analytical and critical skills in the twin technologies of film and TV in relation to interpretation of meaning, broadcast, electronic learning and the new electronic media
Duration of Programme
The BA Film and Television degree programme shall normally take 8 semesters of sixteen weeks each.
Admission Requirements
To be admitted into the degree programme, the applicant must fulfill the academic requirements as prescribed by
Moi University.
In addition the applicant should fulfill the requirements for the following joint admissions board’s clusters:
English, Kiswahili, Maths or any group ii; group iii, and French or Music, or Art and Design.
Applicants in possession of a Moi University Senate recognized diploma in the relevant areas such as Journalism,
Literature, Performing Arts and Communication Studies may be admitted to the programme.
