Postgraduate Diploma in Philosophy
Introduction
One of the main functions of the Department of Philosophy Religion and Theology is to provide a comprehensive and in depth knowledge of the complex philosophical foundations in existence. To meet this aim, the department has introduced a Postgraduate Diploma in Philosophy in addition to the already existing undergraduate, M.A. and Ph.D. programmes.The Postgraduate Diploma in Philosophy is intended to provide opportunity for those who may have first degrees in any discipline and who would like to broaden their knowledge of philosophy and its role in society. The Postgraduate Diploma covers a wide range of courses drawn from various philosophical traditions and pertinent issues in the contemporary time.
Objectives
To equip candidates with philosophical knowledge to cope with interpersonal situations and challenges within the context of diverse cultural and philosophical worldviews.To provide further knowledge in philosophy to candidates from all sphere of life.To offer opportunity for higher degree studies in philosophy.Eligibility and RequirementsHolders of a degree of Moi University or any other recognized university or,
• Holders of qualification considered by the Senate to be equivalent to a university degree.
• Holders of degrees from any discipline who do not meet the above requirements may be considered under “Exemptions” as stipulated in Rules and Regulations of Graduate Studies in Moi University
