Objectives

General Objective
The general objective of the proposed MA in Translation Studies programme is to package knowledge that addresses
the situation of the translator as a multi-skilled individual,practitioner and communicator.
The goal of the programme is to target the development of a scholar that has excellent command of at least two working
languages; is prepared to be a thinking translator; and also is one who is technologically competent and aware of the world
of the professional.

Specific objectives

To introduce and ground the students to contemporary theoretical issues in Translation Studies.
To develop a range of professional and linguistic skills appropriate to the translation profession;
To provide practical training in the translation of a range of specialized texts;
To equip students with the technological tools and skills required in the profession;
