Bachelor of Arts with Education (Geography)

BACHELOR OF ARTS WITH EDUCATION (GEOGRAPHY)

The Department of Geography emphasizes two geographic tracks including:

  1. Physical Geography, which focuses on the Earth’s Biophysical aspects of the environment and
  2. Human Geography. Both tracks are strongly blended with principles and applications of Geoinfomatics and research methodology.

The B.A. in Geography programme introduces students mainly to Physical and Human Geography. Physical geography focuses on Planning, components of and Geo-information Systems that provide synergy to make spatial examination and analysis of the human environment geographically complete.
The program pays particular attention to knowledge and applications of geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing techniques, and computer-assisted cartography, land use assessment and planning, and applied human and earth resource management.
